To say that someone needs to be booted off this board because they think 5/8/77 is overrated is kind of ridiculous. I think it is overrated from the point that so many people talk about as the best. I personally love the show but to I don't even think it is one of the top 5 best shows they ever did. For me, 4/29/71 is the best, then Veneta 72 is up there, throw in some of those Europe shows, 9/27/72 from the Stanley, 3/1/69 from the winter land, many of the 73 shows as well. No please don't take this as a shot at 5/8/77, I do agree it may have turned on many people to the dead I don't know, it is an extremely excellent show but the garden show the night before and the buffalo show after are fantastic too. I just think to say someone needs to be thrown off the board because they believe 5/8/77 is overrated is kind of ridiculous, even Dick Lavatla thought it was a little overrated and thinks there were better shows from that tour, but to each their own and this is what this board is about being able to discuss shows and the dead! Thanks for the pics they were kind of cool
